Upper Valley Hospitalist Group is seeking a Nurse Practitioner to provide primary health care in collaboration with supervising physicians and clinical staff. Responsibilities vary by position and specialty, and you must be accessible to physicians, staff, and supervisors.

The ideal candidate holds a Master’s degree in NP, ACNP certification, current Ohio license, and a current prescriber certificate. Five years RN in acute care, with one year NP/ACNP preferred, and critical care experience are

Qualifications

  • Master’s degree from an accredited NP program.
  • Certified NP (ACNP).
  • Current State of Ohio licensure is required and should be maintained at all times.
  • Certificate to Prescribe must be current and maintained at all times.
  • Minimum of five years of experience as a Registered Nurse in an acute care facility; 1 year experience as a NP/ACNP preferred; and experience as a critical care nurse is preferred.
  • Evidence of malpractice insurance must be provided as part of the application process.
  • A thorough understanding of HIPAA law is required and professional discretion must be demonstrated at all times.
  • Excellent oral and written communication skills with patients and colleagues.
  • Computer literacy is required and must include Excel, Word and Outlook, and Electronic Medical Records experience is an advantage, preferably EPIC.

Our Nurse Practitioners, in conjunction with the center's Physician/s and clinical staff, are responsible for exemplary patient primary health care and continuity of medical services under the direction of the supervising physician/s. Responsibilities will vary with each position, and also according to specialty; must be accessible to their physicians, staff and supervisors.Nature and ScopeKnowledge of the professional medical practice to give and evaluate patient care.
