Job summary

Penn State Health LimeSpring is seeking an Outpatient Oncology Clinical Pharmacist for a part-time role in Lancaster, PA. You will work with an interdisciplinary team to optimize oncologic treatment plans and ensure safe, cost-effective care in the adult infusion setting.

Responsibilities include direct patient education, plan optimization, sterile product management, inventory support, and quality improvements. Flexible hours, Monday–Friday, with no evenings or weekends.

Qualifications

  • B.S. or Pharm.D. degree in pharmacy is required.
  • Current Pennsylvania Licensure or eligibility required.
  • Previous hospital pharmacy experience preferred.
  • Must be an effective communicator and have excellent time management and conflict resolution skills.

SUMMARY OF POSITION

Join Our Dedicated Team as an Outpatient Oncology Clinical Pharmacist at Penn State Health LimeSpring! Become a vital part of our mission to deliver exceptional patient care as a Part-time Outpatient Oncology Clinical Pharmacist at the Penn State Health LimeSpring Hematology/Oncology center in Lancaster, PA. This role provides a unique opportunity to directly impact patient outcomes within our adult infusion center, working closely with a collaborative interdisciplinary team. You will leverage your pharmaceutical expertise to optimize oncologic and medical specialty treatment plans, ensuring efficient and cost-effective care.

Your responsibilities will encompass a blend of direct patient interaction and critical operational support:

  • Patient-Centered Care: Engage directly with providers, nurses, and patients, providing education and acting as a trusted pharmaceutical resource.
  • Treatment Plan Optimization: Collaborate with the medical team to evaluate and refine oncologic and medical specialty treatment plans.
  • Sterile Product Management: Promote the safe handling and preparation of sterile products, ensuring adherence to USP 797 and 800 regulations.
  • Inventory and Acquisition: Assist with product acquisition and efficient pharmaceutical inventory management.
  • Quality Improvement: Engage with peers and interdisciplinary colleagues to develop and implement initiatives that enhance patient care.

This part-time position offers a balanced work-life schedule:

  • Monday - Friday, 8:00a - 12:00p (hours negotiable).
  • No evenings, weekends, or holidays.

MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS
