Job summary

AMG Tech Support in the United States is seeking hands-on IT/Telecom technicians to support our growing national client base. This role goes far beyond desk work, with OS installations, hardware diagnostics, software setup, and field cabling across entire buildings.

If you thrive in the field, you’ll work independently across retail, medical, restaurant, and corporate environments, stay on-call within your territory, and enjoy paid hourly on-site work, travel pay, and opportunities to expand

Qualifications

• PC and printer troubleshooting experience (a strong plus)
• At least 1 year of I.T. or Telecom experience
• One of the following: A+ Certification, Network+ Certification, OR 5+ years verifiable field experience in I.T./Telecom

Responsibilities

• Structured cabling (drilling, running, dressing cables)

This role goes far beyond basic helpdesk tasks — one day you might be installing an operating system, the next you're drilling through walls and running structured cabling across entire buildings, or terminating a 66-block.

Job Responsibilities

• Perform a wide range of technical tasks including but not limited to:
  • OS installations, hardware diagnostics, and software setup
  • Structured cabling (including drilling, running, and dressing cables)
  • Telecom work (punch-downs, demarc extensions, etc.)
• Work independently across various environments: retail, medical, restaurant, and corporate
• Maintain a high standard of professionalism with clients
• Be on call and ready to respond to service requests within your territory

Preferred Skills & Experience

• PC and printer troubleshooting experience (a strong plus)
• At least 1 year of I.T. or Telecom experience, and one of the following:
  • A+ Certification
  • Network+ Certification
  • OR 5+ years verifiable field experience in I.T./Telecom

Required Equipment & Qualifications

• Reliable personal vehicle (Public transportation not accepted)
• Valid driver’s license
• Must have a standard set of tools for basic I.T. and networking tasks (e.g., screwdrivers, cable testers, crimpers).
• Laptop with Ethernet port
• Smartphone with mobile hotspot
• Ability to accept job assignments based on your availability; being on-call 24/7 is a strong advantage.
• Punctual, courteous, and presentable
