Job summary

Live Star Home Care in Colorado, Lafayette is seeking a compassionate Caregiver / Personal Care Aide to support seniors and individuals with disabilities at home. You will assist with daily living activities, provide companionship, and help maintain a safe, comfortable home environment.

You’ll follow care plans, report changes to your supervisor, and participate in ongoing training. The role offers flexible schedules, good pay, and opportunities for professional growth within a supportive team.

Qualifications

• Minimum age 18 years and legally eligible to work in the U.S.
• Prior caregiving or home care experience preferred; training provided
• Reliable transportation and valid driver's license preferred
• Compassionate, dependable and patient personality
• Ability to lift 25–50 lbs as needed for client support

Responsibilities

• Assist clients with bathing, grooming, dressing, toileting and mobility
• Provide companionship and emotional support through conversation
• Light housekeeping, laundry and maintaining a clean living space
• Prepare meals according to dietary preferences
• Support transfers, ambulation and safe movement
• Provide non-medical medication reminders
• Accompany clients to appointments, errands or activities

Position Summary

The Caregiver / Personal Care Aide provides non-medical support and companionship to seniors and individuals with disabilities or chronic illnesses. This position focuses on assisting clients with daily living activities, promoting independence, and ensuring a safe and caring home environment.

Key Responsibilities

• Assist clients with personal care needs such as bathing, grooming, dressing, toileting, and mobility.
• Provide companionship and emotional support through conversation and engagement.
• Help with light housekeeping, laundry, and maintaining a clean living space.
• Prepare and assist with meals and snacks according to dietary preferences.
• Support clients with transfers, ambulation, and safe movement throughout their homes.
• Provide medication reminders (non-medical).
• Accompany clients to appointments, errands, or recreational activities (as assigned).
• Observe and report any changes in the client's physical or emotional condition to the supervisor.
• Follow care plans, schedules, and agency policies to ensure consistent and reliable service.

Qualifications

• Minimum age of 18 years.
• Must be legally authorized to work in the U.S.
• Previous caregiving, CNA, or home care experience preferred (training provided for the right candidate)
• Reliable transportation and valid driver's license preferred.
• Compassionate, dependable, and patient personality.
• Ability to lift up to 25–50 lbs as needed for client support or transfers.

Preferred Skills and Certifications

• CPR and First Aid Certification
• Alzheimer's/Dementia Care Training
• Medication Administration (QMAP)
• CNA or HHA certification (optional)
• Bilingual (English/Spanish or other languages) a plus

Work Schedule

Flexible schedules available: Full-time Part-time Live-in Overnight needed)

PRN (as Caregivers can choose shifts that best fit their lifestyle. Weekend availability is a plus.
