Responsibilities

• Witness the signing of various legal documents, such as wills, contracts, and affidavits, by verifying the parties’ identities and witnessing signatures, ensuring document authenticity and validity.
• Travel to clients’ locations, such as homes, hospitals, or offices, to facilitate notarization for documents such as real estate transactions, loan documents, and powers of attorney.
• Verify identities, witness signatures, and certify documents in compliance with laws and regulations.

Qualifications/Skills

• MUST be a U.S. citizen. High school diploma or equivalent.
• Notary Public commission. Depending on jurisdiction, additional training and certification may be necessary to become a Mobile Notary Signing Agent, covering notarial procedures, document handling, and legal requirements specific to mobile notarization.
• Understanding of acceptable forms of identification, proper notarial procedures, and specific document requirements.
• Proficiency with relevant software and hardware, including secure handling of electronic documents and maintaining client confidentiality.
• Liability insurance is recommended for added legal protection.
• Courteous, patient, and able to address clients’ questions about the notarization process.
• Maintain a high level of professionalism, punctuality, and confidentiality when handling documents and appointments.
