Job summary

NorthPoint Search Group is seeking an Exempt Organization Tax Senior in Charlotte, NC (Remote). The role delivers compliance and consulting services to not-for-profit clients, prepares and reviews Forms 990 and 1120, and mentors staff in a fast-paced, collaborative environment.

You will work to maintain exempt status for mission-driven clients, develop junior staff, and contribute to the growth of the not-for-profit tax practice with strong project management and communication skills.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting or related field required.
• Ability to obtain CPA licensure; active CPA preferred.
• 2+ years of public accounting experience.
• Experience serving tax-exempt organizations.

Responsibilities

• Provide tax compliance and consulting services to not-for-profit clients.
• Prepare and review Forms 990, 1120, and related filings for exempt organizations and their affiliates.
• Lead and mentor tax staff in a fast-paced environment.
• Apply strong project management, analytical, communication, and interpersonal skills.
• Consult with market and firm leaders as needed.
• Build relationships by networking within the community and relevant industries.
