Job summary

Cherry Bekaert is seeking an FAO Manager for not-for-profit clients to oversee outsourced accounting, financial reporting, and advisory services. You will mentor staff, including offshore personnel, and collaborate with FAO leadership to deliver compliant, insightful financial solutions.

You will drive onboarding, ensure timely deliverables, and guide clients through budgeting, grant, and board reporting. CPA preferred; 7+ years in public accounting is expected.

Qualifications

• Not-for-profit accounting experience required.
• CPA preferred.
• 7+ years of progressive accounting experience, including management in a public accounting firm.
• Experience providing outsourced accounting or client accounting advisory services.

Responsibilities

• Manage delivery of outsourced accounting and financial reporting for not-for-profit clients.
• Serve as trusted advisor on accounting operations and reporting requirements.
• Lead, coach, and develop accounting professionals, including offshore team members.
• Oversee client onboarding, including process transitions and system implementations.
• Review financial statements, management reports, reconciliations, and other deliverables.
• Support budgeting, forecasting, grant reporting, and board reporting needs.
• Monitor engagement performance, resource utilization, and client satisfaction.
• Identify opportunities to improve efficiency through processes and technology.
• Manage multiple client priorities while delivering high-quality service.
