Job summary

ServiceMaster is hiring for part-time evening janitorial positions in Northwest Houston. The role involves cleaning facilities, maintaining supplies, and ensuring safety and security of sites. Three openings are available with flexible, evening schedules.

Paid training and opportunities for advancement are offered, with competitive pay and a positive atmosphere. Prior experience is a plus, but on-the-job training is provided for motivated individuals.

Qualifications

• 2 years of experience as a custodian, janitor, or housekeeper is a plus, but not required.
• On-the-job training provided for those with a strong work ethic and willingness to learn.
• Experience with a professional janitorial company, office complex, hotel, hospital, or school is a plus.

• Facility Cleaning — Sweep, mop, polish, remove trash, clean windows, and move furniture and equipment.
• Inventory — Maintain inventory of supplies and equipment.
• Safety — Use proper PPE where required, including hard-toe shoes, hard hat, and safety vest.
• Site Security — Open and lock facilities, and arm and disarm security systems as required.
• Additional Duties — Other duties as assigned.

About the Role

As part of our evening janitorial team in Northwest Houston, you'll create cleaner, healthier environments for our customers, their students, and the grounds.

Key Responsibilities

Physical Demands & Qualifications

• Constant (up to 100%) standing, walking, pushing, balancing, stooping, kneeling, crouching, twisting, and reaching overhead and forward.
• Ability to lift and/or carry up to 25 lbs.
• Ability to read cleaning instructions and distinguish between cleaning products and their proper uses.

Schedule — 3 Positions Available

All shifts run 6:00 PM – 10:0.0 PM.

• Position 1 — 20 hrs/week | Works Sunday – Thursday | Off Friday & Saturday
• Position 2 — 20 hrs/week | Works Friday – Tuesday | Off Wednesday & Thursday
• Position 3 — 16 hrs/week | Works Wednesday – Saturday | Off Sunday – Tuesday
