Job summary

ServiceMaster is seeking part-time evening janitorial staff for our Northwest Houston location. You will join a team responsible for keeping facilities clean and safe for students, staff, and visitors. Training is provided and performance-based bonuses are available.

Flexible shifts run 6:00 PM to 10:00 PM, with three positions offering various weekly hours. A positive attitude, reliability, and willingness to learn are valued assets for this role.

Qualifications

• 2 years of experience as a custodian, janitor, or housekeeper is a plus, but not required.

Responsibilities

• Facility Cleaning — Sweep, mop, polish, remove trash, clean windows, and move furniture and equipment using standard procedures.
• Inventory — Maintain inventory of supplies and equipment.
• Safety — Use proper PPE where required, including hard-toe shoes, hard hat, and safety vest.
• Site Security — Open and lock facilities, and arm and disarm security systems as required.
• Additional Duties — Other duties as assigned.

About the Role

As part of our evening janitorial team in Northwest Houston, you'll create cleaner, healthier environments for our customers, their students, and the grounds.

Key Responsibilities

• Inventory — Maintain inventory of supplies and equipment.

What We're Looking For

• 2 years of experience as a custodian, janitor, or housekeeper is a plus, but not required.
• On-the-job training provided for those with a strong work ethic and willingness to learn.
• Experience with a professional janitorial company, office complex, hotel, hospital, or school is a plus.

Physical Demands & Qualifications

• Constant (up to 100%) standing, walking, pushing, balancing, stooping, kneeling, crouching, twisting, and reaching overhead and forward.
• Ability to lift and/or carry up to 25 lbs.
• Ability to read cleaning instructions and distinguish between cleaning products and their proper uses.

Schedule — 3 Positions Available

All shifts run 6:00 PM – 10:0.0 PM.

• Position 1 — 20 hrs/week | Works Sunday – Thursday | Off Friday & Saturday
• Position 2 — 20 hrs/week | Works Friday – Tuesday | Off Wednesday & Thursday
• Position 3 — 16 hrs/week | Works Wednesday – Saturday | Off Sunday – Tuesday
