Job summary

ServiceMaster is seeking an evening janitorial team member for Northwest Houston to help create cleaner, healthier environments for customers, students, and facilities.

Three positions are available with schedules from 6:00 PM to 10:00 PM, offering on-site work, training, and opportunities for advancement within a long-standing service network. A positive, team-oriented atmosphere is encouraged.

Qualifications

• 2 years of experience as a custodian, janitor, or housekeeper is a plus, but not required.

Responsibilities

• Facility cleaning: sweep, mop, polish, remove trash, clean windows, and move furniture and equipment.
• Inventory: maintain inventory of supplies and equipment.
• Safety: use PPE such as hard-toe shoes, hard hat, and safety vest.
• Site security: open/lock facilities and arm/disarm security systems.
• Additional duties as assigned.

About the Role

As part of our evening janitorial team in Northwest Houston, you'll create cleaner, healthier environments for our customers, their students, and the grounds.

Key Responsibilities

• Facility Cleaning — Sweep, mop, polish, remove trash, clean windows, and move furniture and equipment using ServiceMaster products, tools, and procedures.
• Inventory — Maintain inventory of supplies and equipment.
• Safety — Use proper PPE where required, including hard-toe shoes, hard hat, and safety vest.
• Site Security — Open and lock facilities, and arm and disarm security systems as required.
• Additional Duties — Other duties as assigned.

What We're Looking For

• 2 years of experience as a custodian, janitor, or housekeeper is a plus, but not required.
• On-the-job training provided for those with a strong work ethic and willingness to learn.
• Experience with a professional janitorial company, office complex, hotel, hospital, or school is a plus.
• Flexibility and the ability to thrive in a fast-paced, multi-tasking role.

Physical Demands & Qualifications

• Constant (up to 100%) standing, walking, pushing, balancing, stooping, kneeling, crouching, twisting, and reaching overhead and forward.
• Ability to lift and/or carry up to 25 lbs.
• Ability to read cleaning instructions and distinguish between cleaning products and their proper uses.

Schedule — 3 Positions Available

All shifts run 6:00 PM – 10:00 PM.

• Position 1 — 20 hrs/week | Works Sunday – Thursday | Off Friday & Saturday
• Position 2 — 20 hrs/week | Works Friday – Tuesday | Off Wednesday & Thursday
• Position 3 — 16 hrs/week | Works Wednesday – Saturday | Off Sunday – Tuesday
