Position Overview

Responsibilities

• Ensure cleanliness and sanitation of interior and exterior facility areas.
• Work with staff to welcome, connect, support, and engage members, guests, and staff.
• Perform detailed cleaning tasks, including dusting, vacuuming, mopping, trash removal, and general housekeeping.
• Assist in routine maintenance and small repairs.
• Maintain records related to duties performed.
• Participate in cleaning projects like tile, rug, and wood floor maintenance.
• Follow safety and reporting protocols, including abuse reporting.
• Support YMCA membership and fundraising efforts.
• Attend staff meetings and trainings; wear appropriate attire.
• Act as a leader in emergency situations and ensure safety protocols are followed.
• Perform other duties as assigned to ensure an excellent member experience.

Qualifications

• Minimum of 18 years old.
• Positive interaction skills with people of all ages and abilities.
• Ability to work independently with high attention to detail.
• Background in commercial cleaning preferred.
• CPR/First Aid/AED/O2 certification required within 60 days.
• Satisfactory background and CPS checks.
• Complete required trainings upon hire and annually.

Skills and Abilities

• Physical strength and agility.
• Ability to work at heights, operate cleaning equipment, and handle chemicals safely.
• Ability to lift up to 25 pounds routinely and up to 40 pounds occasionally.
• Capability to perform maintenance tasks in various physical positions and environments.
