NG-Military Internship Program Description:

As one of the largest global security companies in the world, Northrop Grumman is proud to help our nation's military personnel make the transition to civilian careers. Approximately 1/4th of Northrop Grumman's 90,000 employees self-identify as veterans, and more than 1,600 are reservists.

The Northrop Grumman Military Internship Program (NG-MIP) is an approved SkillBridge Program under Dept. of Defense Instruction 1322.29. The NG-MIP program offers transitioning service members valuable civilian work experience through an internship during their last 6 months of service, for up to 180 days. This program is open to all ranks and experience levels. Participants continue to receive military compensation and benefits.

We seek a HPC Systems Administrator to support our enterprise digital transformation at Annapolis Junction or Linthicum, MD. Responsibilities include supporting high-performance computing hardware and software, ensuring security compliance, and maintaining hardware and network systems.

Qualifications:
  • Bachelor's degree with 8 years' experience, or 6 years with a Master's, or 4 years with a PhD, or equivalent experience
  • Proficiency in Linux systems administration
  • Knowledge of networking, file systems, user management, and security
  • U.S. Citizen capable of obtaining TS/SCI clearance
Preferred Qualifications:
  • Active TS/SCI clearance with full-scope polygraph
  • Red Hat Linux experience, high-performance computing concepts, MPI, GPUs, and related skills
Salary Range:

$124,900 - $187,300, depending on experience and qualifications.
