Job summary

G2 Capital Advisors in Boston invites current students to join its Insolvency & Fiduciary Services Co-op program. You'll gain hands-on experience across operational, accounting, and strategic tasks while contributing to distressed sale processes.

The program offers exposure to deal work, ongoing training, and collaboration with leadership. Location is hybrid in Boston, with 4 days in the office and a 40-hour week during the Spring cycle starting January 2027.

Qualifications

• Currently enrolled in a 4 or 5-year academic institution with an outstanding academic record (3.5 GPA minimum).
• Demonstrated ability with Microsoft Office products (Excel, PPT, etc.).
• Strong understanding of financial statements and financial analysis.

Responsibilities

• Support a wide range of operational, accounting, and strategic tasks and manage deadlines.
• Perform in-depth market research that supports G2's IFS clients.
• Collaborate in developing marketing collateral for distressed sale processes.
• Proactively solve problems in complex, time-sensitive work situations.
• Provide timely communication to internal and external stakeholders on engagements.
• Manage competing timelines and priorities on engagements.
• Work collaboratively with team members toward a shared goal.

About The Co-op Program

G2's Insolvency & Fiduciary Services (IFS) Co-op program provides students with an in-depth understanding of our IFS practice, which helps clients navigate the day-to-day ambiguity of distress situations, while working toward the overall goal of preserving value, maximizing economic recovery, and reducing risk. Opportunities to regularly collaborate and forge relationships with team members, subject matter experts in the industry, and our G2 Leadership Team are endless through your exposure to deal work and ongoing training. You'll have an immediate impact on projects and initiatives from day one, arming you with an even more diverse background for success in your professional career!

Program Timing: Spring cycle (beginning in January 2027)

Location: G2 Capital Advisors operates in a hybrid work model with 4 days per week in the office, in Boston.

Hourly Requirement: Candidates selected for the program will be required to provide at least 40 hours weekly and be available between the normal business hours of 9:00am - 5:00pm EST.

What You'll Do

• Support a wide range of operational, accounting, and strategic tasks and manage associated deadlines
• Perform in-depth market research that supports G2's IF&S clients
• Collaborate in the development of marketing collateral for distressed sale processes
• Proactively & efficiently solve problems in complex & time-sensitive work situations
• Provide timely communication to internal and external stakeholders on engagements as and when required
• Manage competing timelines and priorities accordingly on engagements
• Work collaboratively with team members toward a shared goal

What We Look For

• Currently enrolled in a 4 or 5-year academic institution with an outstanding academic record (3.5 GPA minimum)
• Demonstrated ability to exhibit strong attention to detail, business acumen, business writing, and work ethic
• Proactive, self-starter in nature; adept at working in a fast-paced environment
• Demonstrated research experience and proven ability with Microsoft Office products (Excel, PPT, etc.)
• Strong understanding of the three financial statements
• Familiarity with financial analysis and financial modeling
• Can manage multiple priorities effectively; manages up and across to proactively keep others up-to-date on progress and challenges
