Job summary

CRB Group seeks a Lead Structural Engineer to head CRB’s Northeast structural practice. You will drive regional growth, lead major projects, and mentor a growing team across the Philadelphia, Boston, and DC metro areas.

The role requires a PE license, 10+ years in structural engineering, and strong leadership with a proven ability to build client relationships and coordinate multi-disciplinary teams within a consultative engineering environment.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Civil or Structural Engineering from an ABET-accredited program.
• PE license required; SE license preferred where applicable.
• Experience leading structural scope, budget, schedule, technical coordination, and quality on complex, multidisciplinary projects.
• Demonstrated ability to manage competing priorities across project delivery, client service, staffing, and team development.
• Effective communicator with the ability to engage clients, project managers, discipline leaders, and executive stakeholders.

Responsibilities

• Regional Practice Building: Help establish, grow, and represent CRB’s Northeast structural engineering presence.
• Project Leadership: Lead structural design approach, technical decision-making, coordination, constructability input, and QA/QC for significant regional projects.
• Team Leadership: Define staffing plans, recruit and onboard new hires, and develop the team.
• Resource Planning and Business Operations: Oversee regional resource planning, backlog visibility, and workload balancing.
