Job summary

Illinois Department of Commerce and Economic Opportunity seeks a Northeast Economic Regional Development Manager to drive growth in Northeast Illinois. Qualifications

• Requires completion of four years of college in economic development, marketing or business administration.
• Requires three years professional administrative experience in business or economic development.

Responsibilities

• Lead Regional Economic Development efforts for Northeast Illinois by building strategic partnerships with businesses, government leaders and communities.
• Develop regional economic development plans coordinating with transportation, workforce and other government entities.
• Represent the Agency at regional meetings and seminars to promote Illinois as a premier business location.
• Travel as needed to engage stakeholders and support project milestones.
• Perform duties within scope of economic development and program management.
