Job summary

Texas Instruments in Dallas / Richardson / Sherman, TX is seeking an Industrial Engineering Intern to support manufacturing operations and Lean initiatives. You will work alongside experienced Industrial Engineers, participate in 5S activities, and analyze cycle times using Factory Physics concepts.

Qualifications

• Pursuing a bachelor’s degree in Industrial Engineering or related field.
• Familiar with 5S and Lean manufacturing concepts.

Responsibilities

• Support FAB capacity modeling activities.
• Assist in equipment throughput analysis in clean room environments.
• Participate in production scheduling and dispatching rule development.
• Gather information to understand capacity and production impact.
• Collect and validate performance data from automation and system logs.
• Assist in automating data extraction and manufacturing processes.
• Extract and analyze large data sets for throughput impact.
• Work in teams and collaborate with colleagues from different functions.
• Basic coding opportunity to develop applications supporting manufacturing needs.

About the job:

As an Industrial Engineering Intern, you will help to evaluate and support our manufacturing operations. This role will provide the ability to work side-by-side with high performing, experienced Industrial Engineers, and you will participate in 5S and Lean manufacturing activities. You will have the opportunity to identify areas of improvement in cycle time utilizing different Factory Physics theories and utilize multiple types of industry standard software to analyze operational performance gaps and develop reports on your findings.

Responsibilities may include, but are not limited to:

• Support FAB capacity modeling activities
