The ideal candidate has experience as a line cook, knowledge of cooking techniques, and the ability to work evenings and weekends. Safety and cleanliness are essential, with attention to detail and teamwork a must.

Qualifications

• Must have Maricopa County Food Handler’s Certificate.
• Previous line cook experience.
• Knowledge of cooking techniques, methods and equipment.
• Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and under pressure.
• Strong attention to detail and a passion for food.
• Excellent communication and teamwork skills.
• Flexibility to work evenings, weekends and holidays.
• Must be able to stand for extended periods and lift heavy items if necessary.
• Must be authorized to work in the United States.

Responsibilities

• Prepare and cook menu items according to Streets of New York recipes and quality standards.
• Set up and stock workstations with all necessary supplies.
• Ensure that all food is prepared in a timely manner.
• Maintain a clean and organized workstation, adhering to health and safety regulations.
• Assist in food inventory management and report shortages to the kitchen manager.
• Collaborate with other kitchen staff to ensure smooth operation and timely service.
• Maintain equipment and utensils, ensuring they are cleaned and properly stored.
• Follow sanitation and safety protocols to maintain a safe work environment.
• Assist with menu item development and special promotions as needed.
• Some heavy lifting required, such as a 50-lb bag of flour and moving boxes with meats, cheeses, vegetables.

• Prepare and cook menu items according to Streets of New York recipes and quality standards
