Responsibilities
- Follow all safety and sanitation policies and procedural training
- Prepare menu items according to the company recipe manual and maintain plate presentation standards
- Ensure product rotation and stock items to par levels to prevent kitchen disruptions
- Assist with prep work and station setup as needed
- Transport items to and from the kitchen, help unload delivery trucks
- Maintain cleanliness of the kitchen area throughout the shift
- Break down and clean all stations at closing
- Work flexible shifts, including nights, weekends, and holidays
- Stand and walk 100% of the shift
- Reach, bend, and stoop as necessary
- Read, speak, and write English fluently
- Read recipes, food labels, and POS ticket orders
- Communicate ticket times, manage food flow, and report issues to the manager
- Safely operate kitchen machinery (grills, stoves, slicers, etc.)
- Work safely with hot surfaces and sharp utensils
- Lift up to 50 lbs. multiple times per shift, including placing items on high shelves
- Hold items weighing up to 5 lbs. for extended periods
- Work in high-temperature, damp environments indoors and outdoors as needed
- Assist with dishwashing and cleaning tasks
- Complete and pass a food safety certification program in compliance with company and state regulations
Qualifications & Benefits
- Five-day work week with two consecutive days off
- Paid vacation: one week after 1 year, two weeks after 2 years, three weeks after 10 years
- Christmas bonus after one year of employment (equivalent to one week’s pay)
