Job summary

Flanigan’s Enterprises, Inc. is seeking a friendly host/hostess to greet guests, manage seating, and guide guests to tables in a warm, efficient manner.

Responsibilities include handling the wait list, answering questions, coordinating with the manager, keeping the foyer and restrooms clean, and supporting team with opening/closing duties. Must be able to lift up to 50 lbs and pass Florida Responsible Vendor and food safety certifications.

Qualifications

• Ability to lift up to 50 lbs and stand for long periods.
• Must speak, read, and write English.
• Must pass Florida Responsible Vendor and food safety certifications.

Responsibilities

• Greet guests with a friendly, welcoming tone and escort to tables.
• Efficiently manage the wait list and seating flow.
• Field guest inquiries and direct to proper staff.
• Greet guests as they depart with a courteous exit.
• Communicate guest questions to the manager on duty.
• Keep foyer, host station, and wait area clean; restock menus.
• Answer phones within four rings and route calls appropriately.
• Perform opening/closing duties and shift changes; complete sidework.

Job description

You’re the first smiling face our guests see every time they enter a Flanigan’s, and likely the last as they go on their merry way. You set the tone for the entire experience, greeting all of our friends and family in a warm and welcoming way. You help usher guests to their tables, manage the flow of seating, field inquiries, and greet people on the way out, just as nicely as on the way in. We’re always looking for the most friendly, hospitable people to join the team.

• Displays and maintains a cheerful and courteous temperament, as well as displays a neat and clean professional image
• Greets guests with Flanigan’s "Smile Talk"
• Engages guests in Flanigan’s "Smile Talk" while escorting them to table in a timely manner
• Efficiently manages the Wait List for seating
• Communicates guest’s questions or concerns to Manager on duty
• Keeps foyer, host/hostess station, wait area clean and free of debris, restocks and cleans menus
• Restock and maintain restroom cleanliness for guest
• Answers telephone within 4 rings, and answers guests’ questions, and/or directs guests to proper staff member
• Conclude guests’ visit with Flanigan’s "Smile Talk"
• Perform shift changes, opening/closing duties, assigned sidework
• Can reach, bend, stoop frequently
• Able to lift up to 50 lbs.
• Ability to speak, read and write English
• Complete and pass Florida Responsible Vendor program, in compliance with Flanigan’s and Florida statutes
• Complete and pass food safety certification program, in compliance with Flanigan’s and Florida statutes
• Five (5) Day Work Week
