Job summary

State Historical Society of North Dakota is seeking a part-time teacher to support the North Dakota Studies program by creating engaging classroom resources and educational content. Under the Education Outreach Supervisor, you will help develop lesson plans and activities, incorporating primary sources and historical thinking skills.

This position runs ~4 hours per week and extends through the completion of a new 4th grade North Dakota Studies book, anticipated to take about four years.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in education and current or recent experience teaching in a K-12 setting.
• Preference for applicants with social studies teaching experience, knowledge of North Dakota history, and experience developing lesson plans or educational resources.

Responsibilities

• Develop and update lesson plans, classroom activities, and other educational resources that support North Dakota Studies curriculum and programming.
• Develop and contribute educational content for the North Dakota Studies newsletter.
