General Job Description:

We seek dedicated educators to support students in grades Kindergarten through 8 and their parent learning coaches in a flexible, home-centered educational environment. Teachers collaborate closely with families, providing guidance and resources to foster student success. Using various online tools, teachers deliver support and maintain open communication with students and parents. Candidates must reside in one of the Braintree States: ID, IN, MS, ND, OK, TN, UT, WY.

Role Highlights:
  • Flexible Hours: Mostly asynchronous, with a minimum of 3 hours (in at least one-hour blocks) of availability between 8 am and 4 pm for SST, family meetings, IEP meetings, etc.
  • Collaborative Engagement: Work both synchronously and asynchronously with fellow educators, fostering a supportive team environment.
Eligibility:
  • Must reside in Idaho, Indiana, Mississippi, North Dakota, Oklahoma, Tennessee, Utah, or Wyoming.
  • Ideal for educators aiming to make a meaningful impact in a student-centered, adaptable teaching setting.
  • Current teaching license in the state with willingness or eligibility to transfer it to the application state.
Braintree 2024-2025 Teacher Roles

Assignment: Minimum caseload of 25 students

Hours for K-8 teachers: Average Hours: 25 Students - up to 9-11 hours/week; 35 Students - up to 10-13 hours/week; 45 Students - up to 11-15 hours/week. Most teachers work between 8-15 hours weekly. Teachers may not exceed 20 hours unless given special permission.

Essential Responsibilities:
  • Communication: Respond to all communications within 24 hours during school days.
  • Grading: Complete all grading within 7 days of assignment submission, including biweekly feedback and semester learning plan feedback.
  • State Testing: Administer required screeners/tests as assigned; participate in in-person testing if applicable.
  • IEP/504/Parent Meetings: Prepare for and attend all meetings unless extenuating circumstances exist; notify supervisors and submit student input.
  • Interventions: Assist families with interventions, data collection, and presenting information to SST.
  • Data Tracking: Track student data such as test results and communication logs.
  • Student Support: Provide families with three hours of weekly availability in 1-hour blocks, scheduled via an app, with flexibility to accommodate families.
  • Professional Participation: Attend monthly faculty and PLC meetings with camera on; watch recordings if absent; complete assigned tasks timely.
  • Professional Development: Attend required trainings; maintain licensure.
  • Teacher Evaluation: Participate in evaluations as outlined.
  • Daily Tasks: Check calendar, respond to communications, review assignments.
  • Weekly Tasks: Read updates, support intervention students, communicate with families about progress.
  • Additional Tasks: Follow the Braintree Handbook, meet instructional modifications, participate in other roles as assigned, have 15 hours weekly availability, and participate in meetings.
