Planned Parenthood North Central States is seeking a North Dakota State Director, External Affairs to lead statewide public affairs, fundraising, and education initiatives in North Dakota. You will build partnerships with community organizations, guide legislative strategy, and oversee operations in the state, including office facilities and security needs.

The role requires senior leadership with a track record in public affairs, development, and health education, plus long-term state strategy

Qualifikationen

• Bachelor’s degree in healthcare administration, public health, public administration or related field required; advanced degree preferred.
• 10-15 years administrative experience including 5 years in public affairs, development, women’s reproductive health and comprehensive sexual health education or related field.
• Valid driver’s license and reliable transportation.
• Mission driven with the ability to work well with people from diverse communities.
• Proven experience driving organizational results with accountability and services mindset.

Aufgaben

• Lead staff representative to the state C4 board; manage meetings, communications, engagement.
• Create a state C4 board reflecting patients served and PP's public affairs representation.
• Serve as the local face of Planned Parenthood’s work; align external-facing work with health care and education missions.
• Set the vision for statewide public affairs; supervise the Public Affairs team and ensure effective communication strategies.
• Support budgeting and lead a strong, diverse state team to meet annual and long-term goals.

Ausbildung
