Job summary

North County Kia in El Cajon, CA is seeking a full-time Lube Technician to join their busy service department. You will perform lubrication and general maintenance services on vehicles according to dealership and factory standards.

The ideal candidate is punctual, team-oriented, and has excellent customer service skills. You must communicate clearly in English, use hand and power tools safely, and operate a vehicle lift to service both automatic and manual transmission vehicles.

Qualifications

• Must have a valid driver's license.
• Ability to communicate well with coworkers and customers.
• Must understand oral and written directions and instructions in English.
• Strong organizational ability and attention to detail.
• Ability to prioritize and plan work activities.
• Must possess thorough knowledge of all facets of automotive maintenance and repair.
• Must be able to use manual and power hand tools and other machinery safely.
• Must be able to safely operate a vehicle lift.
• Must be able to drive vehicles with automatic and manual transmission.
• Must be able to obtain and maintain OSHA required training certification.

Responsibilities

• Performs oil changes as assigned in accordance with dealership and factory standards.
• Inspects and fills fluid levels as assigned in accordance with dealership and factory standards.
• Lubricates moving parts, injects grease into units, checks and adjusts air pressure of tires, and replaces oil and air filters in accordance with dealership and factory standards.
• Inspects vehicles for additional repairs needed.
• Maintains work area in a clean and orderly manner.
• Uses all hazardous chemicals in accordance to product labels and MSDS.
• Adheres to all safety rules, policies, and procedures, and immediately reports any accident to management.
• Performs all duties in a professional, legal and ethical manner.
