Job Description

Dura-Line is seeking to hire an analytical & experienced remote Regional North American EHSS Manager (Environmental, Health, Safety and Sustainability) for our Western US and CAN facilities that will direct jurisdictional requirements on governance, company EHSS policy and standards, and oversee EHS initiatives within the United States and Canada.

As a strategic and proactive leader, you will drive continuous compliance improvements across sites while advancing Orbia's ESG initiatives, reducing injuries, and supporting sustainability and ISO efforts. As a subject matter expert with strong leadership and communication skills, you will travel to North American manufacturing sites to mentor and coach Site EHSS Managers and Specialists.

Responsibilities
  • Support and champion Global EHSS initiatives and strategic projects
  • Manage regional EHSS jurisdictional requirements on governance and oversight while managing and driving corrective actions for designated locations
  • Assist with EHSS facility audits to ensure compliance with internal, Federal, State, and ISO 14001 & 45001
  • Regional auditing of EHSS compliance and management systems (internal and external) to ensure company adherence to EHSS policy and standards
  • Develop EHS reports and corrective action plans, provide user training and guidance on the EHSS Management Systems, support incident investigations and injury reduction efforts through RCA and corrective action plans
  • Verify and ensure compliance with company and governmental safety and environmental program requirements through inspection, risk assessments, site audits, and evaluation of the environment/facility, equipment, and processes in work areas
  • Gather data & analyze injury reports, incident investigations, workers’ compensation & market trends, and perform root cause analysis, research sustainable corrective actions opportunities, and execute an action plan to prevent future/repeated incidents across the company
Requirements
  • Currently reside in the US/CAN, with the ability to travel to our manufacturing facilities in your designated region
  • 8+ years of hands-on experience overseeing, developing, implementing, and improving existing company EHSS programs, policies, systems, and processes to ensure governmental and company compliance and create new programs that drive EHS excellence
  • This role requires a bachelor’s degree in safety, environmental, engineering, business, or related discipline or equivalent hands-on EHSS work experience in an industrial/manufacturing work environment
  • Must have basic knowledge of environmental & safety laws requirements within the United States and Canada to include ISO 14000, 9000, and 45000 experience
  • Must be aware of federal compliance OSHA/EPA and CCOHS/CEPA regulations and standards, SWPPP, EPCRA, EPA TIER II, basic industrial hygiene, conservation program, sustainability efforts, waste reduction
  • Must have strong project management experience, as you will lead EHS and sustainability teams regionally and manage/implement successful EHSS programs and initiatives
