Aptiv is seeking a senior manufacturing strategy professional in the United States to lead footprint optimization, cost analysis, and capital investment evaluations. You will own make vs. buy decisions, drive vertical integration initiatives, and coordinate product launch allocations across global operations.

The role requires deep experience in automotive manufacturing, a financial background, and strong lean and KPI knowledge. Collaboration with OPS and regional teams is essential.

Formación

• Minimum 10 years experience in automotive industry, preferably electronics manufacturing.
• Bachelor degree or similar with financial background.
• Experience in manufacturing strategy, footprint planning and capacity management.
• Proven ability to develop financial business cases and evaluate capital investments.
• Strong knowledge of manufacturing cost structures and productivity drivers.
• Experience managing cross-functional projects in a global environment.
• Understanding of government incentive programs and grants.
• Outstanding knowledge of lean concepts.
• Business fluent English.

Major Job Responsibilities:

• Support footprint optimization studies and plant load balancing.
• Develop business cases for new investments, transfers, and vertical integration opportunities.
• Assess manufacturing risks related to customer mix, tariffs, supply chain, and capacity constraints
• Owner of make vs buy analysis, drives the implementation of vertical integration
• Owner of cost estimation template, quote automation & digitalization
• Designated point person to OPS & regional organization with business strategy preparation
• Coordinates the manufacturing allocation for New Product Launches
• Coordinates Cost & Budget Analysis for Manufacturing Engineering

Qualifications:

* Minimum 10 years experience in automotive industry preferable in electronics manufacturing with a strong understanding of processes including PCB assembly, SMT, testing, molding, and final assembly

* Bachelor degree or similar with financial background

* Demonstrated experience in manufacturing strategy, footprint planning, and capacity management.

* Proven ability to develop financial business cases and evaluate capital investment opportunities.

* Strong knowledge of manufacturing cost structures, productivity drivers, and operational KPIs.

* Experience managing cross-functional projects in a global manufacturing environment.

* Understanding of government incentive programs, grants, and manufacturing investment support mechanisms.

* Outstanding knowledge of lean concepts

* Business fluent English
