Job summary

Exotec Solutions SAS is seeking an experienced Maintenance Leader to oversee maintenance across ~14 customer sites in the US and Canada, with a focus on scalable practices and multi-vendor coordination. This role reports to the Maintenance Director and requires strong leadership across geographically dispersed teams.

You will drive maintenance excellence, recruit and train staff, and partner with Engineering and Deployment teams to ensure reliable service delivery for complex automated warehouse

Qualifications

• 5+ years of maintenance leadership in highly automated industrial environments.
• Experience supporting automated distribution, logistics, or e‑commerce systems.
• Multi-site maintenance leadership across geographically dispersed teams.
• Proven ability to drive governance, consistency and operational discipline.
• Experience leading both internal teams and third-party service providers.
• Strong escalation management with equipment suppliers and vendors.

Your Role

Reporting directly to the Maintenance Director, you will be the operational leader for maintenance activities across approximately 14 customer sites throughout the United States and Canada. You will oversee Site Team Leaders and maintenance teams while helping Exotec scale its maintenance organization, standardize best practices, and build capabilities for supporting increasingly complex integrated automation solutions.

This is a highly visible role that will serve as the North American voice within our global maintenance organization and help shape how Exotec supports multi-vendor automated warehouse environments.

What You'll Do

• Lead maintenance teams, site leaders, and technicians across multiple customer sites
• Manage workload balancing and resource allocation across North America
• Establish and deploy maintenance best practices across sites
• Support recruiting, onboarding, training, and development of maintenance team members
• Identify skill gaps and coordinate training and talent deployment between sites
• Collaborate with Maintenance Engineering teams to improve service delivery and reliability
• Partner with Deployment teams to ensure successful maintenance transitions for new sites
• Define maintenance organization structures for newly commissioned locations
• Support Safety, and operational teams regarding regional regulations and compliance requirements
• Ensure adherence to EHS standards and safe working practices
• Drive continuous improvement initiatives across the maintenance network
• Manage vendor relationships, service providers, spare parts strategies, and escalation processes across multiple equipment suppliers
• Act as a key point of coordination between customer sites, Exotec teams, and third-party equipment providers

What We're Looking For

Required Experience

• Minimum 5 years of maintenance leadership experience in highly automated industrial environments
• Experience managing maintenance operations supporting automated distribution, logistics, fulfillment, or e-commerce systems
• Multi-site maintenance leadership experience
• Proven ability to drive consistency, governance, and operational discipline across geographically dispersed teams
• Experience leading both internal maintenance teams and third-party service providers
• Demonstrated success coaching, developing, and leading technical teams
• Strong escalation management experience with equipment suppliers and external vendors
• Professional proficiency in English
• Able to travel approximately 50%
• Available for occasional after-hours or weekend escalation support is a plus.

Integration & Automation Experience

We are specifically looking for candidates who bring experience from complex multi-vendor automation environments and can help Exotec continue its evolution as an integrated solutions provider.

Ideal candidates have managed maintenance operations involving multiple OEMs and automation technologies, including:

• Conveyor systems
• Sortation systems
• Pallet transport systems
• Packaging automation
• Warehouse Control Systems (WCS)
• Integrated material handling solutions

Experience gained within warehouse automation integrators or similar organizations is highly valued. Candidates from highly automated logistics operators managing multiple equipment providers are also encouraged to apply.
