Job summary

OU-JLIC seeks a North America Engagement Manager based in New York City to serve as the primary ambassador to high schools, Jewish communities, and prospective students across the United States and Canada. The role manages recruitment initiatives, coordinates events, and provides personalized guidance to students exploring study in Israel.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree required; familiarity with the Israeli higher education system preferred.
• Experience in admissions, Jewish education, Israel programs, or community outreach is a plus.
• Excellent public speaking, interpersonal, and relationship-building skills.
• Highly organized with strong follow-through and attention to detail.
• Willingness and availability to travel frequently within North America, including occasional evenings and weekends.
• Deep understanding of North American Jewish communities and networks.
• Passion for promoting study opportunities in Israel.

Responsibilities

• Relationship Management: Build, maintain, and track relationships with 25 high schools and 15 Jewish communities annually.
• Recruitment and Outreach: Lead in-person and virtual info sessions, classroom presentations, and open houses; attend college fairs and Israel education events.
• Student and Family Advising: Guide students and families through the application process and campus life.
• Marketing and Communications: Support marketing materials and digital campaigns for a North American audience.
• Event Planning: Organize recruitment events and parlor meetings, community receptions, and Israel fairs.
