Champlain Valley Union High School (CVU) is seeking a knowledgeable Nordic Skiing Assistant Coach for the 2026-27 season. This part-time stipend position supports our Nordic Ski program with attendance at practices and competitions at Sleepy Hollow Ski Center in Huntington, VT.

The ideal candidate has Nordic skiing experience, strong leadership and communication skills, and CPR/AED certification with NFHS courses.

Responsibilities

• Assist, manage, and develop the Nordic Skiing program for high school athletes
• Support race day management and foster a competitive, sportsmanlike culture
• Oversee athlete development, safety, and well-being
• Collaborate with coaching staff, athletic department, and activities director for program continuity
• Ensure compliance with safety, educational, and district protocols
