Job summary

Smugglers' Notch Resort in Vermont is seeking an enthusiastic Nordic instructor to teach beginner skiers and lead snowshoe tours. Responsibilities include trail grooming, ski condition reporting, ice rink maintenance, and occasional snowmobile operation.

You will also assist the desk staff and maintain the Nordic area. The role requires advanced Nordic skiing ability, customer service excellence, and strong communication skills, plus departmental/instructor training.

Qualifications

• Must be an Advanced Nordic Skier with the ability to teach beginner level skiers, and have excellent customer service and great communication skills.
• Departmental, instructor/guide/groomer training required.

Responsibilities

• Teach Nordic lessons with enthusiasm and creativity.
• Lead snowshoe tours.
• Assist with trail grooming and ski condition reporting.
• Maintain ice rink and Nordic area.
• Drive snowmobiles when needed.
• Assist desk staff as needed.
• Clean and maintain the Nordic area.
