Job summary

YMCA of the Rockies – Snow Mountain Ranch is seeking a Nordic Center Staff member to support daily operations at Snow Mountain Ranch, Granby, CO. The role involves helping guests with ski rentals, issuing trail passes, teaching beginner to intermediate lessons, and assisting with events in a world-class Nordic setting.

Open 8:00 AM–5:00 PM, duties include customer service, equipment knowledge, and maintaining a clean, safe center.

Qualifications

• Fluent in reading, writing, and speaking English.
• First Aid and CPR certification required.
• Demonstrated proficiency in Nordic skiing (classical and skate).
• Ability to teach beginner to intermediate lessons per USSA Level 100 guidelines.
• Knowledge of waxing techniques for classical and skate skis.
• Familiarity with Snow Mountain Ranch trail system and Nordic skiing enthusiasm.
• Strong communication and courteous demeanor with guests and staff.

Responsibilities

• Open/close the Nordic Center and staff the facility from 8:00 AM to 5:00 PM.
• Provide exceptional guest service about the Nordic Center, trails, rentals, and activities.
• Teach beginner to intermediate ski lessons using classical and skate techniques.
• Maintain cleanliness and visual appeal of the Nordic Center and surrounding areas.
• Operate point-of-sale systems for rentals, retail, and trail passes.
• Support Nordic Center events such as races and clinics.
• Complete paperwork and rental records accurately and timely.
