Job summary

Snow Mountain Ranch in Granby, CO seeks a Nordic Center Intern to join the operations team. You will open and close the Nordic Center, fit and record ski rentals, teach beginner to intermediate classic and skate techniques, issue trail passes, and help organize events and races.

The role requires English fluency, First Aid/CPR, and the ability to work at altitude. You will interact with guests and support daily center maintenance, with an emphasis on safety, service, and teamwork.

Qualifications

• Must be at least 18 years old.
• English reading/writing/speaking required.
• Current Adult and Pediatric First Aid and CPR/AED certifications required.
• Ability to teach beginner/intermediate classic and skate techniques.
• Knowledge of USSA Level 100 guidelines and Nordic Center policies.
• Waxing techniques knowledge helpful.

Responsibilities

• Open the ski shop promptly at 8:00 AM and ensure coverage until 5:00 PM.
• Handle opening/closing procedures and enforce Nordic Center policies.
• Provide product knowledge on retail items and services.
• Assist guests with ski rentals, trail passes, and information.
• Plan and support Nordic Center events and races.
• Maintain shop cleanliness and presentation.
• Learn POS operations and sales procedures.
• Respond to phone inquiries and relay messages.
