Job summary

Magnera Corporation seeks a Textile Engineer to join a cross-functional team focused on new product development in nonwoven fabrics. You will lead lab studies, guide scale-up efforts, and ensure regulatory compliance for surgical mask materials.

The role requires expertise in lamination, embossing, calendering, and DOE/Stage-Gate processes to drive value and performance across consumer products. Collaboration with management and R&D will be essential.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor's or Master's degree in Textile Engineering or related field with 2+ years experience.
  • Experience in lab/engineering roles with natural and synthetic fibers finishes for nonwovens/textiles.
  • Experience with lamination, embossing, calendering and other converting processes.
  • Experience with Stage-Gate Process, Statistical Data Analysis, and Design of Experiments.
  • Experience with products, materials, and federal regulations for surgical/masks and facial protection.

Responsibilities

  • Work in a cross-functional team to deliver milestones for new product development projects.
  • Ensure design, development, and introduction of higher-value products for consumer applications.
  • Develop new products guided by management roadmaps and plans.
  • Lead scale-up, line trials, and write trial reports for nonwoven fabrics.
  • Plan and supervise lab and pilot studies with minimal supervision.
  • Build laboratory capabilities for applications development.
  • Research materials to improve products and profitability.
  • Analyze market, costs, and competitor products.
