Friends of Switchpoint Inc in Layton, Utah, is seeking an Assistant Thrift Store Manager to support the Thrift Store Manager in daily operations, staff and volunteer supervision, donations processing, merchandising, and delivering excellent customer service.

This full-time role offers 401k, EAP and core benefits; wage range $15-17/hour with opportunities to help maximize store revenue while serving the community.

Qualifications

• Ability to sit up to 3-7 hours per day with frequent walking, standing, bending, squatting, pulling and pushing.
• Ability to keyboard at computer for up to 4 hours per day.
• Occasionally may be required to lift items up to 10 pounds to a height up to 6 feet and 11-25 pounds to a height of 3 feet.
• Occasionally may be required to carry items up to 30 pounds for distances up to 25 feet.

Responsabilités

• Assist with daily store operations and opening/closing procedures.
• Oversee processing of donated items including sorting, tagging, pricing, displaying, and organizing merchandise.
• Maintain attractive, organized, and safe displays throughout the store.
• Assist with maintaining inventory levels and stocking merchandise as needed.
• Support the scheduling of staff and volunteers to ensure adequate coverage during operating hours.
• Provide guidance and support to staff and volunteers to ensure tasks are completed efficiently.
• Communicate concerns, successes, or performance issues to the Thrift Store Manager.
• Assist with accurate cash handling, register balancing, and adherence to store financial procedures.
• Promote merchandising improvements and coordinate promotions and community outreach.
