Job summary

The Texas Methodist Foundation (TMF) is seeking a Staff Accountant to support daily accounting operations, maintain accurate records, and assist with month-end close and financial reporting. You will collaborate across departments to ensure GAAP compliance and timely, precise financial data.

Responsibilities include journal entries, reconciliations, fixed assets, audits support, and process improvements while delivering excellent internal service to stakeholders.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in accounting, finance, or related field.
• 2–5 years of progressive accounting experience.
• Experience with accounting software and ERP systems.

Responsibilities

• Record and post journal entries for routine activities in accordance with GAAP.
• Maintain general ledger and subsidiary ledgers; perform reconciliations.
• Prepare monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements and reports.
• Assist with month-end and year-end close processes and audit prep.
• Analyze variances and provide explanations to management; support compliance.
