Senior Neighbors is seeking a part-time accountant to maintain a fiscal recording and reporting system for timely data delivery to staff and programs.

You will handle payroll processing, accounts payable, cash receipts, and grant tracking while ensuring compliance with government regulations and confidentiality. The role requires 3–5 years in nonprofit accounting and a Bachelor’s degree.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in accounting with 3–5 years of non-profit accounting experience.
• Understanding of non-profit accounting procedures with multiple funding sources.
• Knowledge of grant cycles, compliance, and reporting requirements.

Responsibilities

• Process weekly accounts payable, ensure proper approvals, and resolve discrepancies.
• Process payroll and related updates (new hires, terminations, changes in pay rates).
• Record payroll to the general ledger and maintain confidentiality.
