What to Expect (Job Responsibilities):
- Manage and grow a portfolio of commercial lines business, advising underwriters and support staff on processes and procedures
- Analyze and assess risks for Nonprofit Human Service Organizations and Education Institutions to determine coverage and premium
- Build and maintain successful relationships with agents to drive positive business flow
- Underwrite renewals and escalate referrals needing additional review or approval
- Collaborate with distribution teams to resolve issues and cultivate agency relationships

What is Required (Qualifications):
- Bachelor’s Degree or equivalent work experience
- 5+ years of underwriting experience in all commercial lines (e.g., Property, Liability, Workers' Compensation)
- Experience in Nonprofit Human Services and Education underwriting is preferred
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills
- Ability to analyze and make timely decisions

How to Stand Out (Preferred Qualifications):
- Working towards or already holds CPCU or other industry equivalent designations
- Previous experience in mentoring and training staff
- Familiarity with risk assessment and management strategies
