Job summary

Catholic Charities of Oregon is seeking a Financial Analyst to support budgets, forecasts, and financial reporting, working with the Decision Support Manager and program managers. The role involves cost analysis, variance explanations, and assisting in mid-year projections, with travel between Portland sites and a detail-oriented, proactive approach.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in accounting, finance or equivalent experience.
• Minimum of 2 years of financial planning and analysis experience preferred.
• Knowledge of nonprofit accounting requirements preferred.

Responsibilities

• Assist in managing the annual budget process, program budgets, scenarios and forecasts.
• Review management’s budget proposals for accuracy and regulatory compliance.
• Serve as secondary administrator of the Prophix program (reports, allocations, user setup).
• Create budget-to-actual reports for CFO communications to executives and Board of Directors.
• Analyze monthly costs vs budget and explain variances.
