PCGH, Inc. in Roxboro, NC seeks a Finance Officer to join the administrative team. This full-time, on-site role reports to the Chief Financial Officer and involves day-to-day accounting and financial operations for a long‑standing nonprofit serving adults with disabilities and brain injuries.

The position covers banking, payroll, general ledger, reporting, budgeting, and audits. Ideal candidates have 2+ years in accounting and thrive in a collaborative environment.

Qualifications

• Two or more years of accounting, bookkeeping, finance, or closely related experience is preferred.
• An equivalent combination of education and relevant experience will also be considered.
• Experience in accounts payable and accounts receivable, bank reconciliations, payroll, and general ledger entries.
• Strong attention to detail, organization, and ability to handle confidential information.
• Experience with nonprofit accounting, healthcare finance, Medicaid billing, or managed care organizations is useful, though not required.

Finance Officer

Full-Time | Monday-Friday | In Person in Roxboro, NC
Starting Pay: $20.00-$29.00 per hour, depending on relevant skills, experience, education, and qualifications

This is a full-time, fully on-site position based at our Administrative Office in Roxboro, North Carolina. This role is not remote or hybrid, and relocation assistance is not available. Applicants should already be within commuting distance of Roxboro or be able to relocate at their own expense before starting.

PCGH, Inc. is seeking an experienced finance professional to join our administrative team in Roxboro. Reporting directly to the Chief Financial Officer, the Finance Officer is involved in the day-to-day accounting and financial operations of an organization that has served adults with intellectual and developmental disabilities and traumatic brain injuries for more than 50 years.

The work covers several areas of finance and accounting, so we are looking for someone who is comfortable moving between routine responsibilities, problem-solving, reconciliations, reporting, and the occasional project that does not fit neatly into one category. Someone who enjoys figuring things out, following an issue through to resolution, and keeping financial information accurate and organized should do well here.

PCGH, Inc., formerly Person County Group Homes, is a nonprofit organization dedicated to enhancing lives while promoting independence. We provide residential, day, and community-based services to individuals with intellectual and developmental disabilities and traumatic brain injuries in Person County and the surrounding area.

Our Finance Department supports those programs through accurate accounting, payroll, budgeting, financial reporting, and responsible management of organizational resources.

The Position

Responsibilities will include a combination of:

• Bank reconciliations and account balancing
• Accounts payable and accounts receivable
• General ledger entries and transaction processing
• Payroll and payroll-related accounting support
• Preparing and maintaining financial reports
• Assisting with budget preparation and monitoring
• Reviewing financial records for accuracy and researching discrepancies
• Maintaining supporting documentation and financial records
• Assisting with audits and year-end financial processes
• Supporting internal controls and established accounting procedures
• Working with program leadership, vendors, financial institutions, auditors, and other outside partners
• Assisting the CFO with special projects and other Finance Department needs

This is a hands-on position. The person in this role will have regular recurring responsibilities while also helping address questions, discrepancies, system issues, and projects as they arise.

Qualifications

Two or more years of accounting, bookkeeping, finance, or closely related experience is preferred. An equivalent combination of education and relevant experience will also be considered.

Experience in several of the following areas would be especially useful:

• Accounts payable and accounts receivable
• Bank and account reconciliations
• Payroll
• Microsoft Excel
• Accounting or financial software

Strong attention to detail, organization, follow-through, and the ability to handle confidential financial and employee information are important in this position.

Experience with nonprofit accounting, healthcare finance, Medicaid billing, or managed care organizations would be useful, although none are required.

Pay and Benefits

Starting pay is$20.00-$29.00 per hour, based on relevant skills, experience, education, qualifications, and the level of accounting responsibility the successful candidate is prepared to assume.

The regular schedule is Monday through Friday at our Administrative Office in Roxboro.
