Salary Range: $50-$60K
Position Summary
The Development Manager is a key role responsible for creating and implementing comprehensive development strategies to advance the mission of Helping Hands. This individual will participate in efforts to secure financial support through individual giving, corporate sponsorships, grants, events, and other revenue streams while fostering strong relationships with donors and stakeholders.
Key Responsibilties
1. Development Strategy and Execution, in coordination with the Development Director
- Maintain and execute a multi-year development plan to achieve organizational goals.
- Identify and cultivate major donor prospects and maintain relationships with existing donors.
- Support annual giving campaigns, planned giving programs and capital campaigns.
- Ensure organizational compliance with Fund Raising and Donor Management policies.
- Primarily responsible for research, creation, and submittal of grant proposals to secure funding from foundations, corporations, and government sources.
- Ensure compliance with grant requirements and manage reporting processes.
3. Donor Relations and Stewardship
- Support the development and implementation of donor cultivation and stewardship strategies.
- Assist with managing donor databases and ensure accurate record-keeping and timely acknowledgment of gifts.
- Support donor appreciation events and communications.
4. Corporate Sponsorships and Partnerships
- Build and maintain relationships with corporate sponsors and community partners including local churches.
5. Fundraising, Event Planning and Execution
- Assist with the planning and execution of fundraising events, such as galas, auctions, and community outreach events.
6. Additional Work
- Any additional assigned work and/or projects as required by Rosenberg-Richmond Helping Hands, Inc.
Qualifications
Education and Experience:
- Bachelor's degree in marketing, business, communications, or a related field.
- Minimum of 0-2 years of experience in a marketing/business role, preferably in the nonprofit sector.
Skills and Competencies:
- Strong interpersonal and communication skills, both written and verbal.
- Knowledge of databases, AI applications, Microsoft Suite, etc.
- Experience in grant writing and donor management is a plus.
- Ability to build relationships with diverse stakeholders, including donors, corporate partners, and community leaders.
- Strategic and creative thinker with excellent organizational and project management skills.

- Successful completion of grants and timely reporting.
