SOME (So Others Might Eat) is seeking a full-time Controller to support our Finance department in Washington, DC. The role leads accounting operations, GAAP compliance, audits, month-end close, and internal controls, with a hybrid schedule and up to 3 days onsite.

The ideal candidate has a Bachelor's in Accounting or Finance, CPA license, 8–10 years in finance, non-profit experience, and strong real estate accounting with multiple LLCs. Open until filled.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree required; 8–10 years in Finance and Accounting.
• Non-profit finance experience; supervisory experience.
• Strong real estate accounting experience; multiple LLCs.

Responsibilities

• Oversee the daily operations of the Finance function.
• Oversee budget development and execution against the budget.
• Coordinate annual financial audits for SOME and affiliates.
• Monitor program financial performance for all entities.
• Maintain internal controls and financial systems; support leadership.
• Develop management reports and financial analytics.
• Lead or support NetSuite ERP implementation and configuration.
• Ensure GAAP-compliant financial statements and timely close.
