Job summary

BCG Attorney Search seeks a Tax-Exempt Organizations / Nonprofit Associate Attorney in Dallas, TX with 3–6 years of nonprofit tax experience. You will support nonprofit clients, advise on governance and compliance, and contribute to cross-border grantmaking.

The ideal candidate has a JD, active bar admission, excellent writing and analytical skills, and the ability to manage multiple matters with professionalism and discretion.

Qualifications

• 3–6 years of relevant tax-exempt organizations / nonprofit law experience.
• Bar admission in the relevant jurisdiction.

Responsibilities

• Advise nonprofit and tax-exempt organizations on obtaining and maintaining tax-exempt status.
• Handle private inurement benefit, excess benefit transactions, and private foundation rules.
• Manage Form 990 reporting and structure relationships between tax-exempt and for-profit organizations.
• Provide counsel on nonprofit governance matters, including formation and executive compensation.
• Engage in transactions and restructurings involving nonprofits.
• Advise on philanthropy for high net worth individuals or businesses.
• Conduct transactional work and international grantmaking activities.
