Job summary

Your Part-Time Controller, LLC (YPTC) seeks an Accountant to support nonprofit clients across New York and beyond in a hybrid work setting.

You will handle AP/AR, payroll, bank reconciliations, monthly financials, grant tracking, cash flow forecasts, and audits preparation, with growth potential to Controller.

Bachelor's in Accounting/Finance, 3–5 years, strong communication, Excel, and willingness to travel to client offices as needed.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Accounting or Finance required.
• 3+ years of related experience in public accounting and/or industry; 5+ years preferred.
• Nonprofit experience preferred, but not required.
• Outstanding communication skills and positive attitude.
• Knowledge of, or interest in learning, multiple accounting software packages; QuickBooks experience is a plus.
• Intermediate-level Excel skills.
• Willingness to travel to client offices as needed when it is safe to do so.

Responsibilities

• Weekly and monthly processing of accounts payable, accounts receivable and payroll.
• Bank account and balance sheet reconciliations.
• Monthly financials and related analysis.
• Grant tracking and monitoring.
• Cash flow projections and monitoring.
• Preparation for outside audits.
