Job summary

Cedarstone is seeking a full-time Nonprofit Accountant to join our Financial Operations team. This hands-on role manages GL, closings, and reconciliations, delivering timely financial packages and board reports for nonprofit clients.

You will support annual audits and Form 990 filings, assist with onboarding, and provide clear financial guidance to leadership. Flexible work options include remote, hybrid, or in-person arrangements; GAAP knowledge and Sage Intacct experience are a plus.

Nonprofit Accountant

Full-Time | Remote, Hybrid, or In-Person | ExemptCedarstone is seeking a full-time Nonprofit Accountant to join our Financial Operations team.This hands‑on role is designed to serve as a day‑to‑day trusted accountant to a dedicated portfolio of nonprofit clients, ensuring their financial operations run smoothly, accurately, and compliantly. Working in a highly collaborative, client‑facing capacity, you will manage general ledger maintenance, perform monthly/quarterly/annual closings, execute AP/AR reconciliations, and produce timely financial packages and board‑level reporting. Additionally, you will support annual external audits and Form 990 filings, assist with client onboarding, and provide clear, actionable financial guidance to client leadership teams to help them make confident decisions.This position may be a good fit for someone who is a curious, framework‑oriented problem solver with strong GAAP knowledge, advanced spreadsheet skills, exceptional attention to detail, and a passion for building trusted relationships with nonprofit leaders. Sage Intacct experience is a big plus.

The role is 40 hours per week, Monday–Friday during business hours, and may be performed remotely
