Job summary

A leading research institute in North Carolina is seeking a detail-oriented professional to collect and analyze intraoperative neuromonitoring data. Responsibilities

  • Collect and record intraoperative neuromonitoring (IONM) data.
  • Organize and label multimodal datasets using standardized research protocols.
  • Perform data cleaning, preprocessing, and anonymization.
  • Perform preliminary data analysis, including signal quality review.
  • Generate summary tables, figures, and dashboards to track study metrics.
  • Contribute to preparation of internal progress reports and manuscripts.
  • Participate in weekly team meetings and project planning.
  • Communicate with clinical teams for data capture accuracy.
  • Maintain organized study documentation and logs.
  • Ensure compliance with institutional data security and HIPAA requirements.
  • Track study milestones and coordinate submissions.
  • Support development and testing of computational tools.
  • Assist with integration of new data collection systems.

Occupational Summary
  • Collect and record intraoperative neuromonitoring (IONM) data, including facial EMG, EEG, and stimulation event logs, from surgical cases.
  • Organize and label multimodal datasets (intraoperative recordings, postoperative clinical assessments, and imaging) using standardized research protocols.
  • Perform data cleaning, preprocessing, and anonymization in compliance with IRB and data governance standards.
  • Perform preliminary data analysis, including signal quality review, event detection, and summary statistics.
  • Generate summary tables, figures, and dashboards to track study metrics.
  • Contribute to preparation of internal progress reports, abstracts, and manuscripts under investigator supervision.
  • Participate in weekly team meetings and contribute to project planning and workflow improvement.
  • Communicate with clinical teams to ensure accurate data capture and follow‑up assessments.
  • Maintain organized study documentation and logs to support reproducibility and audit readiness.
  • Ensure all data collection and sharing activities comply with institutional data security, IRB, and HIPAA requirements.
  • Track study milestones and coordinate submissions for continuing review, data use agreements, and protocol amendments.
  • Support development and testing of computational tools (e.g., algorithms for EMG signal analysis, data visualization templates).
  • Assist with integration of new data collection systems and provide feedback on usability and workflow optimization.
