Base Pay Range

$48.00/yr - $56.52/yr

Duties
  1. Prepare course plans detailing objectives, trainee ratings, prerequisites, schedules, and class hours.
  2. Develop lesson plans and lecture outlines.
  3. Administer formal and informal examinations to assess trainee progress and qualifications.
  4. Conduct nuclear and non-nuclear training sessions for Nondestructive Test Inspectors and shipyard personnel.
  5. Survey Nondestructive test inspections for compliance.
  6. Create written procedures and technical documents, and monitor inspector performance.
Minimum Requirements

Conditions of Employment:

  • Must be a US Citizen.
  • Must be suitable for federal employment.
  • Participation in the direct deposit pay program required.
  • Pass E-Verify employment verification.
  • Within 180 days of retirement, retired military members may be eligible for appointment per 5 U.S. Code 3326.
  • Male applicants born after 12-31-59 must register for Selective Service.
  • This is a bargaining unit position.
  • Must obtain and maintain security clearance.
  • Wear personal protective equipment as required.
  • Travel may be required to CONUS and OCONUS sites.
  • This is a Mission Essential position, requiring operational continuity.
Qualifications

Experience and training demonstrating the necessary knowledge and skills are essential. The emphasis is on quality, not duration.

Applicants must meet the Office of Personnel Management (OPM) standards for trades and labor occupations. The key screen-out element is the Ability to Instruct.

Additional Information
