Job summary

Inotiv in Gaithersburg seeks a skilled laboratory professional to perform clinical chemistry, hematology, coagulation and urinalysis analyses on animal samples. You will operate instruments, adhere to GLP-guided SOPs, and maintain precise data records.

This role requires ASCP certification or equivalent, the ability to multi-task under deadlines, and compliance with safety and PPE requirements. Competitive pay and benefits are offered.

Qualifications

• ASCP certification or equivalent is required.
• Experience with sample analysis in Clinical Chemistry, Hematology, Coagulation and Urinalysis.
• Knowledge of Good Laboratory Practices (GLP) preferred.

Responsibilities

• Adhere to laboratory health and safety and SOPs.
• Operate laboratory instruments for analysis of samples from laboratory animals for standard panels.
• Maintain instruments per SOPs.
• Record observations and data per GLPs, SOPs, and protocol.
• Review data, perform laboratory QC and identify problems.
• Communicate with study directors and in-life technicians regarding sample quality.
• Perform general laboratory support functions such as supply inventory, shipping procedures, and data maintenance.
• Pass pulmonary function tests and use required PPE.
