Job summary

Texas A&M University College of Dentistry invites applications for a part-time, Academic Professional Track (Non-Tenure), position with an 11-month academic appointment beginning January 1, 2027. The successful candidate will hold the title of Clinical Faculty and contribute to clinical teaching for 1st and 2nd year dental hygiene students.

• Proficiency in powered instrumentation and hand scaling techniques.
• Commitment to engaging in professional development focused on clinical teaching.

• Provide clinical instruction and supervision for 1st and 2nd year undergraduate dental hygiene students in the clinical setting.
• Perform service to department, college, university, and profession.
• Maintain license and engage in ongoing professional development for undergraduate teaching.

The Department of Dental Hygiene at Texas A&M University College of Dentistry invites applications for a part-time, Academic Professional Track (Non-Tenure), position with a 11-month academic appointment beginning January 1, 2027. Applicants will be considered for the faculty title of Clinical Faculty.

Responsibilities will include, but are not limited to, providing clinical instruction and supervision for 1st and 2nd year undergraduate dental hygiene students in the clinical setting. Service to department, college, university, and profession is expected.

The candidate must hold a Bachelor of Science in Dental Hygiene (BSDH) and a Bachelor of Science in Allied Health.

Candidates must have a minimum of three years of clinical experience in private practice, proficiency in current powered instrumentation and hand scaling techniques, and commitment to engaging in professional development focused on clinical teaching skills appropriate for undergraduate dental hygiene education.

Candidates must also have an active registered dental hygiene license issued by the Texas State Board of Dental Examiners.
