Qualifications
Previous experience working in an orthopedic clinic is required.
DEA unrestricted license for prescribing medications.
Responsibilities
Conduct patient assessments, including obtaining medical histories.
Order, interpret, and follow up on diagnostic tests.
Develop and implement treatment plans, including prescribing medications.
Perform wound care and manage cast application/removal.
Provide patient education on injury prevention and treatment plans.
Skills
Strong knowledge of musculoskeletal conditions and treatments
Excellent communication skills
Proficiency in using electronic medical records (EMR) systems
Strong organizational skills with attention to detail
Education
Master’s degree in Physician Assistant Studies or related field
Certification by the National Commission on Certification of Physician Assistants (NCCPA)
Current, unrestricted Oregon state licensure
Current BLS and ACLS certifications
