Job summary

Belmar Pharma Solutions in Wisconsin is seeking a Non Sterile Compounding Pharmacy Technician to join our pharmacy team. You will prepare customized non-sterile formulations under pharmacist supervision, accurately measure, mix, and package medications, and maintain clean, organized workspaces while following safety standards.

You will work with pharmacy software, stay compliant with USP 795/800 and company SOPs, support inventory, and assist in staff training.

Qualifications

  • High School Diploma or equivalent.
  • Wisconsin Pharmacy Technician License.
  • PTCB certification preferred if not a state requirement.
  • Compounding and/or laboratory experience preferred.
  • Must be able to read, understand SOPs and all guidelines as they relate to the process?

Responsibilities

  • Maintain a working knowledge of applicable pharmacy rules and regulations
  • Follow all policies and procedures set forth by the company
  • Strong comprehension of USP 795 and USP 800
  • Have a strong working knowledge of pharmacy software
  • Prioritize and prepare formula and compounding records
  • Compound medications accurately and efficiently
  • File necessary paperwork
  • Perform routine cleaning and maintenance duties
  • Assist with ongoing and month end inventory
  • Assist in initial and continuous training of staff
  • Pull outdated medications for destruction
  • Restock supplies and keep pharmacy neat and orderly
  • Maintain compliance with Company patient confidentiality requirements
  • Maintain a clean and orderly workspace

Job description

As a Non Sterile Compounding Pharmacy Technician, you will play a crucial role in our pharmacy team, specializing in the preparation of customized medication formulations. Your responsibilities will include accurately measuring, mixing, and packaging non-sterile compounds according to specific prescriptions and quality standards. You will work closely with pharmacists to ensure the highest level of patient care, maintain clean and organized workspaces, and adhere to safety protocols. Proficiency in using compounding equipment, a strong attention to detail, and a commitment to maintaining confidentiality and compliance with regulatory requirements are essential for this role.

Physical Requirements
  • Must be able to work in a variety of positions locations such as sitting, standing, squatting, kneeling, reach, and walking, for prolonged periods of time
  • Potential exposure to chemicals used in the preparation of compounds (some chemicals are classified as toxic and special safety precautions must be taken when working with these chemicals)
  • Must be able to use necessary equipment and software such as computers, scanners, or other technology devices as assigned
  • Must be able to wear required compounding safety equipment for long periods of time when required
Qualifications/Training
  • High School Diploma or equivalent?
  • Wisconsin Pharmacy Technician License
  • PTCB certification preferred if not a state requirement
  • Compounding and/or laboratory experience preferred
  • Must be able to read, understand SOPs and all guidelines as they relate to the process?

Pay Range: $20.40 - $25.61
