Job summary

Belmar Pharma Solutions is hiring a lab support associate in Colorado to prepare, decontaminate equipment, and ensure clean, compliant work areas for non-sterile and sterile operations.

Responsibilities include distributing supplies, processing requests, maintaining inventories, and transporting materials, with attention to safety and cleaning SOPs. Requires a high school diploma and ability to work independently and in a team.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent required.
• Training as a lab assistant, or similar field a plus.
• Experience in a maintenance/support role preferably.
• Ability to successfully prioritize and complete time-sensitive duties.
• Ability to work independently and as a member of a team.

Responsibilities

• Distributes compounding supplies to departments.
• Processes supply requests in a prompt, cooperative, and efficient manner.
• Assists with maintaining daily, monthly, and yearly inventory control for supplies and instruments.
• Transports finished compounds to the fulfilment area or quality department as required.
• Washes and decontaminates hazardous and non-hazardous laboratory equipment and glassware and maintains a clean work area according to cleaning SOP guidelines.
• Maintains equipment: operating, calibrating and sterilizing lab equipment if applicable.
• Follows safety procedures: ensures a safe work environment by following hazardous drug safety, exposure and disposal guidelines and sharps safety procedures.
• Cleans Non-Classified (CNC) areas and aids in cleaning select iso-classified areas.
• Cleans and transfers materials into CNC areas.
• Mops non-sterile hazardous and non-hazardous corridor floors daily.
• Runs autoclave cycles, performs dehydrogenation of glassware, and vial washing procedures (applies to sterile facilities only).
• Ensures compliance with corporate policies and procedures that apply to pharmacy services.
• Must be able to wear required Personal Protective Equipment (gloves, etc.) for long periods of time when required.
• Performs other duties as assigned.
